Brewery Tours
Join us on one of our weekly tours throughout the summer, for a personal brewery experience that goes beyond just tasting beer. Meet the makers, hear about how the brewery came about, our inspiration for each beer style, discover our unique slow-brewing methods, and sample our range of Belgian-style beers.
What You’ll See
Your journey with us begins in the yard of our hand-built nano-brewery where we’ll explain the traditional Belgian brewing methods that make Mescan unique in Ireland. From the moment you arrive, you’ll see the gleaming fermentation vessels where our beers slowly develop their character over months, not weeks. We’ll talk you through each stage of our process – from the grain mill where we prepare our malts to the conditioning tanks where patience transforms simple ingredients into complex, flavourful beer.
You’ll meet the people behind every batch and hear the story of how two veterinarians traded stethoscopes for brewing paddles. As we move through the story of the brewery and the beers we’ve created, you’ll sample a range of our award-winning, Belgian-style beers, learning about their flavour profiles and the best foods to enjoy them with. This isn’t just about tasting beer – it’s about understanding the craft, the dedication, and the time it takes to create something truly exceptional. By the end of your visit, you’ll not only have tasted great beer, but you’ll understand why we believe the best things in life are worth waiting for.
