Private & Group
Experiences

Whether you’re planning a special celebration, corporate event, or simply want the brewery to yourselves, our private group experiences offer the perfect blend of authentic Irish hospitality and exceptional beer. From intimate gatherings to larger celebrations, we’ll create a bespoke brewery visit that matches your group’s occasion and interests.

What You’ll Experience

A visit to Mescan Brewery is the perfect Experience for Corporate Events, Team Building, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Stag & Hen Parties, Family Gatherings, and more.

Your private group experience begins with the brewery exclusively focused on you and your party. We’ll extend our usual tour format to give your group more time to explore, ask questions, and truly understand the craft behind our award-winning, Belgian-style beers. The relaxed pace means everyone can engage fully with our brewers and absorb the stories, techniques, and passion that drive everything we do.

What sets our private group experiences apart from our regular weekly tours is the carefully curated, premium food-pairing element. Instead of  the usual light snacks served with the beers, you’ll enjoy Irish cheese, charcuterie and other seasonal delicacies – all sourced from renowned local bistro, Savoir Fare – each one carefully chosen to complement each beer in the range. As you taste through our collection, you’ll discover how the right food partnership can elevate both the beer and the cuisine, showcasing the depth and versatility of traditional Belgian brewing styles.

The atmosphere is entirely yours to shape – whether that’s a lively celebration, thoughtful corporate team-building, or an intimate gathering of beer enthusiasts. We adapt our approach to match your group’s energy while ensuring everyone leaves with a deeper appreciation for carefully crafted beer and unforgettable memories of their time at Mescan.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking at least a month in advance, especially during peak tourism season (May-September). Popular dates like weekends fill up quickly.

Can we book outside regular tour times?

Absolutely! Private groups have much more scheduling flexibility. We can arrange morning, afternoon, or early evening experiences based on availability.

What if we have more than 15 people?

We can accommodate larger groups. Contact us to discuss the best approach for your group size.

Do you offer transport assistance?

While we don’t provide transport, we’re happy to recommend local taxi services and can advise on the best routes from Westport or other nearby locations.

Can we combine this with accommodation packages?

We work with several local accommodation providers and can help coordinate packages that include your brewery experience. Contact us for recommendations.

What about dietary restrictions?

We’re experienced in accommodating various dietary needs, and are happy to do so with advanced notice. Our charcuterie and cheese selections can be adapted, and our beers are vegan-friendly. Please mention any dietary restrictions when booking.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes, we require 72 hours notice for cancellations to receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48-72 hours receive a 50% refund. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund for cancellations made within 48 hours. Weather-related cancellations receive full refunds or rescheduling options.

Can we purchase beer to take away?

Absolutely! We’re happy to arrange take-away purchases for your group at the end of your visit.

Are children allowed?

Unfortunately, children cannot accompany adults on brewery tours due to the nature of the experience.

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes suitable for walking around a working brewery. The temperature can vary throughout our facilities and we spend some of the time out in the fresh air, so dress for the weather. Layers are recommended.
